In the most popular segment in Canada, the 2021 Jeep® Cherokee manages to stand out by offering one of the few remaining V-6 engine options and, as any Jeep would, guaranteeing exceptional off-road performance. Towing capacity is another highlight, one of many for the venerable Cherokee nameplate now in its fifth generation.

Multiple Engine Options in the 2021 Jeep® Cherokee

With three engine options and two available four-wheel-drive systems, there are multiple ways to configure your 2021 Jeep® Cherokee.
The standard engine is a 2.4-litre TigerShark MultiAir I-4 unit that delivers a healthy 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque paired to either front-wheel-drive or the Jeep Active Drive I 4x4 system. The rugged Trailhawk trim gets its own unique AWD system called Jeep Active Drive Lock 4x4. A nine-speed automatic gearbox smoothly and efficiently manages power distribution from the engine to the wheels in all configurations.
Those looking for more powerful engine options will turn to either the 2.0-litre turbocharged I-4 option or the 3.2-litre V-6. Both are among the most potent engine options in the segment with the V-6 delivering 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. The turbocharged I-4 pushes the power band even further with an impressive 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Torque is one of the most determining factors in everyday performance, allowing quick accelerations and confident passing on the highway. The 2021 Jeep Cherokee delivers both with all of its engine options, but specifically the turbo and V-6 options.

The 2021 Jeep Cherokee also stands out in its segment when it comes to towing capacity. With the V-6 engine, the Cherokee can tow up to 4,500 pounds (2,041 kg), more than any of its direct rivals.
Regardless of which engine option you choose, buyers opting for a 4x4 configuration will also benefit from the Jeep Selec-Terrain Traction Management System. This impressive technology gives its user the ability to optimize the Cherokee’s performance for different terrains and situations. New Features Highlight 2021 Jeep® Cherokee

The Jeep® Cherokee offers more standard features for 2021 including heated front seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic headlights, standard 7-inch and available 8.4-inch touchscreen, and rain-sensing wipers.

The updated Altitude trim brings 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, Gloss Black roof rails and grille, and black exterior badging which guarantee it stands out on the road. These features join Nappa leather-faced seats, a premium wrapped heated steering wheel, remote start, and windshield wiper deicer available starting on the North Trim. The Altitude model integrates the Uconnect® 4C NAV multimedia system within an 8.4-inch centre touchscreen.
The Uconnect® 4C NAV system includes an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and Jeep Skill for Amazon Alexa, ensuring that you always remain connected.
North and Altitude models also offer a new Comfort & Safety Group which offers a multitude of convenience and safety additions including security alarm, power liftgate, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, and Park-Sense® rear parking alert.
A dual-pane panoramic power sunroof and Alpine® Premium Sound System are also available.
Also new for 2021 is the 80th Anniversary Addition. Based on the North 4x4 trim, the special edition model introduced this year includes a wide range of styling enhancements as well as new convenience and safety technologies. Highlights includes:
