The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is Unlike Any Truck Ever Built Before | Jeep Canada

THE 2021 JEEP GLADIATOR IS UNLIKE ANY TRUCK EVER BUILT BEFORE

2021-02-12
What happens when you combine the rugged capability of a Jeep® Wrangler with a truck body? The 2021 Jeep Gladiator. More than a Wrangler with a bed, however, the Jeep Gladiator is a distinct model that embraces and respects the rich history of the Jeep pickup.
The body-on-frame 2021 Jeep Gladiator takes versatility to another level and offers advanced off-road features that make it unique in its segment. It can also tow more than the vast majority of the trucks it directly competes with and for 2021, it adds a formidable weapon to its engine lineup in the form of a new EcoDiesel engine.

A New Engine in the 2021 Jeep® Gladiator Family This Year

The most significant addition to the 2021 Jeep® Gladiator lineup this year is the introduction of the impressive 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V-6 engine with engine start-stop (ESS). This engine delivers 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque paired with a more rugged TorqueFlite® 8-speed automatic gearbox designed to provide shifts at lower RPM. The Gladiator EcoDiesel is more efficient and provides ample towing capacity.
Towing is one of the 2021 Jeep Gladiator’s strong suits. Models powered by the 3.6-litre V-6 offer 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and, before you ask, yes, they do come with a six-speed manual gearbox. Let the fun begin! This V-6 allows the 2021 Jeep Gladiator to tow up to 3,468 kg, or 7,650 lb. when you opt for the max towing package.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator comes in four models starting with the Sport S. Along with the Overland, the Gladiator Sport S offers a Command-Trac, part-time, two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio. This makes the Gladiator a particularly impressive midsize truck in off-road driving conditions right out of the gate. Getting to your destination, wherever that may be, is easy in the new Gladiator.
If you would rather not have to manage the four-wheel drive system, a Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case with full-time four-wheel drive is available across the Gladiator lineup while the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon gets a Rock-Trac® system with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio.
Like in the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the Gladiator Rubicon has the ability to disconnect the front sway bar and comes with massive 33-inch tires. The available steel bumpers are winch-capable and there are electric front and rear locking differentials to cross the most difficult terrain with confidence.

The 2021 Jeep® Gladiator Mojave Adds a Touch of Performance to Off-Roading

The Gladiator Rubicon is certainly impressive, but perhaps the most spectacular model in the 2021 Gladiator lineup is the Mojave, the first Jeep® model to receive the Desert Rated badge. The Gladiator Mojave is meant to glide over sand with high-performance FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks and FOX front hydraulic jounce bumpers, an industry first. These systems maximize handling in a desert setting and combine to make the Mojave a one-of-a-kind experience away from the road. A rear locking differential and 33-inch tires are also part of the Jeep Gladiator Mojave’s features list.

Thanks to a 43.6-degree approach angle, 20.3-degree breakover angle, 26.0-degree departure angle, and a 28.1-centimetre ground clearance, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator is an authentic Jeep product through and through. Drivers can cross through 30 inches of water as well.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is the latest take by Jeep on the pickup, and it is like nothing you have experienced before.
